BOOKING TERMS

Initial Consultation Terms

These Initial Consultation Terms apply to consultation bookings made with FlyingFox Immigration. They are intended to explain the scope of an initial consultation, payment expectations, scheduling terms, confidentiality principles, and important limitations that apply before any separate service agreement is entered into.

By booking and paying for a consultation, the client confirms that they have reviewed and accepted these Initial Consultation Terms together with any related website policies and booking disclosures.

Purpose of the Consultation

An initial consultation is intended to help the client discuss their background, concerns, goals, and potential immigration-related questions in a focused professional meeting.

General Guidance First

The consultation is generally limited to discussion, preliminary review, and practical guidance based on the information shared by the client at the time of booking and during the consultation session.

No Ongoing Representation

Booking an initial consultation does not by itself create an ongoing representation relationship. Any additional professional services require a separate agreement where applicable.

1. Scope of Services

FlyingFox Immigration agrees to provide immigration-related initial consultation services through a scheduled audio meeting, video meeting, phone discussion, or other consultation format made available at the time of booking.

The consultation is limited to a single consultation session unless otherwise stated for a specific consultation product or booking type. The purpose of the consultation is to discuss the client’s immigration-related background, concerns, questions, and possible pathways relevant to the topic selected by the client.

The consultation may include general guidance, practical observations, discussion of broad immigration options, review of high-level facts, and identification of matters that may require a more detailed review.

2. Nature and Limitations of the Consultation

An initial consultation is based on the information shared by the client at the time of booking and during the session. Guidance provided in the consultation may be affected by incomplete facts, missing documents, later-discovered issues, or changes in immigration law, policy, procedure, or official requirements.

The consultation is not intended to function as full legal representation, complete file preparation, submission services, or ongoing matter management unless a separate service agreement is entered into after the consultation where appropriate.

A consultation may help identify whether further review, strategic planning, or representation may be appropriate, but it should not be interpreted as a guarantee that a pathway is available, advisable, or likely to succeed.

3. No Consultant-Client Representation Relationship for Ongoing Services

Booking or attending an initial consultation does not by itself create an ongoing representation relationship for application preparation, submission, advocacy, correspondence handling, or other continuing professional services.

If the client wishes to retain FlyingFox Immigration after the consultation, any further services will be subject to a separate written service agreement, scope confirmation, and any applicable fee arrangements.

4. Consultation Fee and Payment

The consultation fee must be paid in advance of the appointment unless otherwise stated on the booking page. The applicable consultation fee, session duration, and format will be as displayed at the time of scheduling.

Payment must be completed before the consultation is confirmed unless FlyingFox Immigration expressly allows a different arrangement for a particular booking type. Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation or non-confirmation of the booking.

5. Client Responsibility for Accurate Information

The client is responsible for providing information that is complete, accurate, and not misleading to the best of their knowledge. Guidance provided during the consultation depends significantly on the quality and completeness of the facts shared by the client.

If material details are omitted, unclear, incomplete, or inaccurate, the usefulness of the consultation may be reduced and any preliminary guidance discussed may later need to be revised.

6. Confidentiality

Information shared by the client during the consultation will be treated confidentially and will not be disclosed to third parties without the client’s consent except where disclosure is required by law, applicable professional obligations, regulatory requirements, fraud prevention obligations, or where necessary to protect legal rights.

The client should avoid sharing documents or information that are unnecessary for the booked consultation topic and should ensure that materials shared are relevant to the discussion.

7. No Guarantee of Outcome

FlyingFox Immigration does not guarantee immigration approval, visa issuance, permit approval, permanent residence success, citizenship approval, timeline outcomes, business outcomes, or any other result. Immigration outcomes depend on official decision-making, legal and procedural requirements, supporting documents, admissibility, and many other case-specific factors.

Any guidance provided during the consultation is professional guidance based on the information available at the time and should not be interpreted as a promise or assurance of a future result.

8. Rescheduling, Late Attendance, and No-Show

If the client needs to reschedule, the request should be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time unless otherwise stated for the specific booking type. Rescheduling requests remain subject to availability.

If the client is late, the consultation may still end at the originally scheduled end time in order to respect calendar availability and other scheduled bookings.

If the client does not attend the consultation without sufficient notice, the consultation fee may be treated as earned at the commencement of the scheduled appointment time, subject to applicable law and any specific booking terms displayed at checkout.

9. Refunds

Consultation fees are generally non-refundable unless FlyingFox Immigration decides otherwise in its sole discretion or where a refund is required by applicable law. If a consultation cannot proceed due to a scheduling issue on the part of FlyingFox Immigration, the client may be offered rescheduling or another appropriate resolution.

10. Use of Consultation Information

Any notes, observations, or general recommendations shared during the consultation are intended only for the client’s own informational use in relation to the booked consultation topic. The client should not share, reproduce, or rely on consultation comments as formal representation or advocacy for another matter, person, or proceeding unless clearly stated in a later engagement.

11. Governing Law

These Initial Consultation Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada, unless another governing law requirement is mandatorily imposed by law.

12. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a consultation, making payment, or checking an acceptance box on the booking page where applicable, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Initial Consultation Terms together with the applicable website policies, including the Terms of Service and Disclaimer.
